Iulia Isaev

Iulia Isaev graduated in 1991 the National University of Music Bucharest, where she also obtained her PhD in music in 2017. She has won some important international singing competitions (Nantes – Loire Atlantique; Bucharest – George Enescu; Barcelona – Madama Butterfly). Since 1992, the soprano was engaged on the most prestigious opera stages from Europe, Asia and USA (Metropolitan Opera New York, Wiener Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper München, Opera National de Paris Palais Garnier, Opera Bastille Paris, Staatsoper Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper Dresda, Das Opernhaus Zürich, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie Brusselles, The New National Theatre Tokyo, Teatro Reggio di Torino, Teatro San Carlo Lisabona, Greek National Opera House, Teatro La Fenice Venezia, etc.). Soloist of the Bucharest National Opera, Iulia Isaev made her debut on the Metropolitan Opera New York stage with Tatiana from Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky, in March 2017.
