Ketevan Matiashvili

Ketevan Matiashvili is musicologist, ethnomusicologist, head of the Georgian Folk Music Laboratory at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, and member of the Bible translation group at the Patriarchate of Georgia. She graduated from the Department of Georgian folk music at Tbilisi State Conservatoire (1987) and the Department of Christian Anthropology at Tbilisi Theological Academy (1994). As a church singer and member of sacred and secular ensemble Sathanao, Dr. Matiashvili is also involved in the publishing group which issues many archive audio albums and sheet music collections of Georgian Church hymns.
