Manana Andriadze (†2013) was Doctor of Arts, Professor and Chair of Music Theory at Tbilisi State Conservatoire, and former Vice-rector of the same institution. Her scientific research covers issues of theory, history and paleography of old and new Georgian music. She was the first scholar to discuss in a scientific way the existence of neumes system in new Georgian hymnographic monuments (18th–19th centuries). Dr. Andriadze was the founder of the Church Music Department within the Conservatoire (in 2007) and the leader of this department.
