Maria Monica Bojin graduated the National Music University of Bucharest. Putting her musical knowledge in a wider context, she was awarded a PhD in Philology by the University of Bucharest with her thesis Intersection, Interpretation, Adaptation: Aspects of the Libretto in Contemporary British Opera. Having worked for 13 years for Radio România Muzical, the classical music station of the Romanian Radio, she relocated to Brussels where she now teaches music appreciation and choral singing while continuing to be part of the team composed by her former Radio colleagues responsible for organising, since 2010, the Lipatti Days Festival, in honour of the great Romanian pianist.
