Michael Heinemann (b. 1959) studied music and musicology, philosophy and art history, and is a professor of musicology at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden since 1998. He has numerous publications on music of the 16th-21st centuries and is a (co-)editor of the complete editions of the works of Heinrich Schütz, Andreas Hammerschmidt and Johann Rosenmüller as well as the Schumann letter edition.
