Ştefan Costache

Ştefan Costache studied Music Pedagogy at the National Music University of Bucharest, graduating in 1999 and working, ever since, as Producer for Radio România Muzical, Romania’s only classical music radio station. In 2010 he co-initiated, together with Monica Isăcescu, the Lipatti Days, series of events comprising a national piano competition, recitals by world-famous soloists, exhibitions, musicology conferences, dedicated programmes on the Romanian National Radio etc. Co-initiator and coordinator of the most comprehensive website dedicated to Dinu Lipatti, www.dinulipatti.org, Ştefan Costache is also co-editor of the two 1000-page volumes of the pianist’s letters published in 2017 by the Grafoart press in celebration of Lipatti’s 100th birth anniversary.
